Saturday was our annual Halloween party with Calvin’s toddler play group. The oldest kids are now teenagers and the youngest of the original group is nine. I love that the kids are still friends, even though they all go to different schools and only see each other occasionally.
I couldn’t resist taking an extra dish to the party. Our main contribution was dessert, in the form of the cookies from Monday’s post. We also took a lemon lime jello brain mold, complete with gummy worms.
It certainly had the ick factor, though not quite so much as the brain we made last year. That one was a variation on panna cotta, colored gray with food coloring. It was just a bit too realistic – no one really ate it. Maybe it was the raspberry sauce that put it over the top.
Can you guess who I was for the party?
